Building go Carts Karts out of wood?

my Sister is thinking about building a go kart out wood since she doesn't know how to weld. I told her that wood might not be good for a Go kart. is it possible to build a Go kart of out of wood? and what are advantages / dis advantages of doing so? Thank you!|||yes you can it might be litghter but make sure you reinforce the area around the front and back tires and the engine moun.t also the only thing i could see being a problem is heat from the engine might catch the wood on fire might want to put down something to insulate arount the engine. and since wood is a lot weaker than metal if you crash you might need to replace things. you m,ight want to reinforce the joints with building braces like the ones you get at home depot . its got my interest i think im going to try and make one|||Sure you can make a go kart out of wood.
