How to get started racing go karts?

What are Go Kart rules when does the season start im 12 and i wanna build my own go kart does anyone have any diagrams??|||You can buy one, but making one wouldn't be too safe, and it would also be a lot slower than one designed by engineers.|||Well there Ninja unfortunately home built karts wont be allowed, or at least by a sanctioned race track, but then again we don't know where your from, maybe India or somewhere where safety concerns are not an issue, but I'm pretty sure a kart built by a 12 year old wouldn't pass a tech inspection here in the US on a sanctioned track, look for a track near you and see what there schedule is, or if you know of an outlaw,hillbilly,back lot or good ol boy track see what there doing just make sure your parents have your health insurance paid up, here's the link to one of the main sanctioning body's in the US, you'll find the rules here for a lot of tracks, out here in CA our season starts in Feb, I run 4 or 5 different tracks during the season and most run under these rules,
