i am thinking of buying a go kart and i could buy one quite easily and i am happy about that but i need to know this do you need tax insurance licence and would a 14 year old be able to have a licence. please answer,am in a desparate situation.i went go karting for a birthday and thought i have to have one.|||Karts are not Type-approved and cannot be driven on the public highway.|||no, you can't (legally) nor can a 14 year drive anything motorised on public roads at all. If you have the room to run a go cart or other off-road vechile, go for it. If not, you'll not be happy with it because you'll not be able to run it at its potential.
I bet that if you can find a dealership or manufacturer of such things, one of the first warnings after, :"This May Kill You," would be "not for road use.
